I have recently earned Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management (PGDHRM) from St. Xavier’s College (Autonomous) Kolkata. My project was based on Improvements in Campus Recruitment Process to Reduce the Attrition Rate amongst the Engineers of IT Sector.
During my project I have seen that the attrition rate amongst the Engineers of IT Sector is considerably high, although the overall attrition rate remains around 20%.
In my last internship (January 2016 to March 2016) at OneX Solution Pvt. Ltd., I worked on metrics like ‘Percentage of employees satisfied with the learning and growth opportunities provided by the company’, ‘Percentage of new hires satisfied with the work culture and roles provided by the management’, ‘Average percentage increase in workforce productivity’, ‘Percentage increase in employee referral rate’. I analyzed the data, found the probable cause and suggested improvement measures. The management accepted the proposed measures and implemented it. In June 2016 I was informed that my proposed measures worked very effectively and the percentages improved significantly.
Previously I have worked (June 2014 to July 2015) for an IT firm, Global Kusum Infotech, where apart from the day to day HR activities I worked on Recruitment cost reduction and reduced the cost per hire by approximately 53%. I also improved the average time to fill a position by approximately 35% and in case of Engineers it was improved by 59%.
Right now I am waiting for a suitable opportunity where I would be able to use my knowledge for the benefit of the company.
